If you don’t have a plan for the environment, you don’t have a plan for the economy. #Budget2021 recognizes that in 2021, job growth for Canadians means green growth.
Our plan will help more than 200,000 Canadians make their homes greener, help Canada reach its goal of conserving 25% of our lands and oceans by 2025, and will invest in clean industry by helping heavy polluters like oil and gas producers reduce their emissions.
This includes investments to:
• Create new opportunities and jobs in the economy of the future.
• Spur Canadian innovation to build net-zero technologies and attract new investments in Canadian businesses.
• Help Canadians have greener homes.
• Conserve up to 1 million square kilometres more land and inland waters to help achieve Canada’s 25 per cent protected area by 2025 target.
