In November 2015, there were 105 Long Term Drinking Water Advisories (LTDWA) in effect in First Nations in Canada. Last night Semiahmoo First Nation lifted its LTDWA, which had been in place since 2005. As a result, as of March 30, 2021, 105 LTDWAs have now been lifted.

This is an immense accomplishment, foremost for the people of Semiahmoo First Nation and a testament to the hard work that has been done to get to this point. Across Canada much work remains and we are as committed as ever to lift all remaining LTDWAs.
