It’s okay to not be okay. We are here to help.

This is Mental Health Week, and as the COVID-19 pandemic continues it’s good to remember that it’s OK to not be OK and there are resources and support there for you when you need them. This year’s theme is “understanding our emotions” and invites us to recognize, label and accept our feelings instead of pushing them away, and to seek help when these feelings get overwhelming.

Last year, we launched the free Wellness Together Canada online portal, which has since been accessed by 1.2 million Canadians, connecting them to mental health professionals. Thanks to new funding through #Budget2021, this important tool will continue to help whoever needs it as we navigate through this difficult time and into the future. We’re also investing to create a trauma and PTSD stream of mental health programming, fund mental health interventions for people significantly affected by the pandemic – such as front-line workers and racialized Canadians – and develop new national mental health service standards to ensure more people can access appropriate care.

Please remember, you’re not alone in this battle. This pandemic has taken an emotional toll on all of us. Visit the Wellness Together Canada portal for free resources that can help.
